BWB’s winter newsletter

BWB Texts continue to roll off the press (and the website). Andrew Dean’s Ruth, Roger and Me has enjoyed a long spell on the bestseller lists, along with Generation Rent by Shamubeel and Selena Eaqub. Time of Useful Consciousness by Ralph Chapman is the first (but not the last) Text to take a hard look at climate change. Hannah August’s No Country for Old Maids presents perspectives on issues for younger women, generating strong media interest.

Christchurch audiences will have a chance to hear Text author Margaret Wilson speaking on The Struggle for Sovereignty, as part of the Arts Festival, on Sunday 30 August.

And more striking BWB Texts will be appearing through the coming months – with titles by Albert Wendt, Mike Berridge, Max Rashbrooke, Nicola Gaston and others. Journalists are loving these Texts as much as readers – the debates will follow!
