The launch of JillE Books puts fun new picture books into hands of Kiwi kid’s

JillE Books is a brand new publishing imprint which has just been launched by New Zealand owned and operated educational publishing house, Global Ed.

Global Ed was founded in 2004 by Kiwi author and literacy educator, Jill Eggleton QSO, and Sales & Marketing Director, Tracy Strudley. Together, they have built a massive global export business, specialising in publishing modern literacy material and allied teacher resources for students’ aged 4 to 12 years.

Now, with the launch of JillE Books, Eggleton and Strudley enter the world of trade publishing, bringing with them their vast expertise in educational publishing and a passion for reading and literacy.

JillE Books gives voice to Jill Eggleton’s desire to write children’s read-aloud picture books; fun stories which captivate the imagination and use rich vocabulary – think onomatopoeia and rhyme – to entertain and stimulate busy young minds.

JillE Books commence their publishing programme in July with the release of four lavishly illustrated books by well-known New Zealand illustrators, including Richard Hoit. They are: Oh Me, Oh My; Wobbling Whiskers; Sneaky Snake; and Brachio. Each comes with a bonus CD and retails for $24.99.

From creatures large to small, Eggleton’s stories are bound to delight small Kiwi kid’s everywhere, transforming bedtime reading into laugh-out-loud hilarity.

JILL EGGLETON is an international educational consultant in literacy and the author of more than 800 children's books. Her work in education and literacy within New Zealand and around the world was recognised in the 2010 New Zealand Honour’s List, when she was made a Companion of the Queen’s Service Order.
And just this week she has been awarded the Margaret Mahy Medal.
