Matthew CashmoreMatthew Cashmore, digital director at Blackwell’s, will leave the company in January to become a priest.
Cashmore joined Blackwell’s as digital director in November 2012 after a two-year stint as digital development director at Hachette and was tasked with “integrating physical sales with digital.”
Tanya Burr is the latest YouTuber to sign a publishing deal, with Penguin the publisher.
Burr, the founder of Tanya Burr Cosmetics, has some 2.6m subscribers to her beauty and lifestyle channel.
Hachette UK is consulting with "fewer than 10" people over potential redundancy following the restructure of its group field sales division.
Earlier this year the publisher created a new sales structure, with two teams, one headed by Rob Manser and looking after Little, Brown and Orion, and the other headed by Lucy Hale and looking after Hodder & Stoughton, Headline, Hachette Children’s Books and Quercus.
