Egmont Selling U.S. Division
Danish publishing giant Egmont Publishing is looking to sell its American division, Egmont USA, which was founded in 2009. Egmont said it is selling the unit because it wants to focus its future investments in countries where it can be among the largest publishers. more





The Return of the 'Crayons'
Penguin Young Readers Group announced today that the feisty characters from Drew Daywalt and Oliver Jeffers's bestselling picture book The Day the Crayons Quit will return in August 2015, when Philomel releases The Day the Crayons Came Home. "We were all a little wary of producing a sequel, until Drew, Oliver and I sat in a room together and brainstormed," said Philomel publisher Michael Green. more
