Awa Press has much to celebrate this August

Much to celebrate this August

We're as happy as a bug in a rug

As more and more awards flood in for Tragedy at Pike River Mine and we prepare for the launch of The Catch and The Colour of Food, the team at Awa Press keeps churning out winners. We're also very much looking forward to the New Zealand Post Book Awards next week, being held right here in our backyard at Te Papa. Fingers crossed this unseasonable sunshine lasts until then.
The Catch - Michael Field's powerful exposé on major New Zealand fishing companies - is here! And gone again. Advanced copies were barely in our office ten minutes before they were whizzing out the door to reviewers and interviewers alike. But never fear - if you're desperate to get your hands on one, there's only a few weeks until publication date: 6 September.

In the meantime, you can keep up with the latest news in the fishing industry, including the last minute passing of the Fisheries (Foreign Charter Vessels and Other Matters) Amendment Bill in Parliament's last sitting week, from Michael Field here, here, and here, and listen to an interview Michael Field did on modern slavery on 612 ABC Brisbane here. You can also catch Michael Field in conversation with Wallace Chapman on Sunday Morning on 7 September.
