Last week I attended CODEX Australia, a symposium and book fair held in Melbourne for hand-made and letterpress printed books. The photo (below left) shows me at my Holloway Press table talking to Alan Loney (left), poet and printer, who organised the event. Alan started the Holloway Press with me 20 years ago and now runs Electio Editions in Melbourne.
Other New Zealanders who attended were Tara McLeod of Pear Tree Press (and also printer of many Holloway Press books), Peter Vangioni from Christchurch Art Gallery, Donald Kerr who runs the printer-in-residence programme at the University of Otago, and Elizabeth Steiner, Auckland book artist. The other photos are close-ups of the Holloway Press table. There were 30 tables from publishers and printers from all over the world.
