E / Self publishing workshop with former Penguin publisher

We are running an electronic / niche / self-publishing workshop with former Penguin publisher Geoff Walker and successful author Tui Allen on Saturday 22nd March. Geoff is NZ’s most successful publisher, having directed the publishing programme at Penguin for over two decades. He has published Witi Ihimaera, Lloyd Jones, Michael King, CK Stead and a host of other NZ greats. Geoff and Tui will guide participants through the cutting edge publishing opportunities opening up. These include channels such as Amazon’s CreateSpace, Kindle publishing and SmashWords. They will talk about the pros and cons of each, and how you can prepare a manuscript locally to maximise your chances of success through these exciting new channels. Tui Allen is a graduate of our 30 week fiction course, and her E / self-published novel ‘Ripple’ was selected by the NZ Society of Authors for presentation at the Frankfurt International Book Fair and has since sold well internationally.
