CREATIVE SCIENCE WRITING

CREATIVE SCIENCE WRITING (CREW 352)
The International Institute of Modern Letters and the Science in Context group invite you to:
How Wonder Works: A conversation about creative science writing
What is creative science writing? (Hint: It's not science fiction.) How can a writer educate as well as excite? And is it possible to write persuasively about science if you're not a scientist? In this lunchtime talk you'll hear five writers read excerpts from their science writing and talk about CREW 352, a new workshop that explores the craft of writing about science for a general audience. If you're interested in applying for CREW 352 this year, or if you're curious about science writing and the myriad forms it can take, or if you're simply curious - curiosity is a prerequisite - please come along. Scientists and non-scientists welcome.

With course convenors and leading writers Ashleigh Young and Rebecca Priestley.
Tuesday 15 April, 12-1pm, AM 103, Alan MacDiarmid Building, Kelburn Campus.
