Authors Warned Away From Ebook-only Imprints
Book2Book Monday 11 Mar 2013
Publishers have a stake in ensuring the most profitable outcome for their catalogs, but that doesn't always mean it will be profitable for the authors.
Note that this isn't warning authors about all ebook-only imprints - just three specific imprints from Random House, because of their author-unfriendly contract terms.
But they do reinforce the need to have someone competent read and vet a contract before you sign... just like Dad always told me.
