"Important developments in the recent 24 hours regarding Nobel Prize for Literature winner and immensely influential Chilean poet, Pablo Neruda . As a left-wing advocate - his sympathies and views made him a long term exile from his native country and, upon his return to Chile, one of its leading political lights (under the Allende government he was a promiment diplomat, for instance), Neruda's death is being reinvestigated - along with many - and his body exhumed. Rumours swirl that this exhumation is part of an investigation into whether forces close to General Pinochet were involved in the death of Pinochet.
