June 2013 - Out of the Blue, by Davinia Thornley
January 2014 - In My Father's Den, by Brian McDonnell
June 2014 - Once Were Warriors, by Mandy Treagus
January 2015 - Heavenly Creatures, by Ruth Feingold
June 2015 - An Angel at My Table, by Eva Rueschmann

New Zealand Film Classics
A new series of short books (approx. 15-20,000 words each) will be published starting next year, with each title focused on a classic New Zealand film. The titles will be published by Kakapo Books, with promotion supported by Intellect. As series Editor, I will be supported by NZSA’s New Zealand Studies Council, and by Brian McDonnell (Massey University), who is acting as series Consultant. The aim is to publish 2-3 titles a year, with NZSA members receiving one free copy of choice. The titles proposed in series 1 and series 2 are listed below, with authors already attached to Out of the Blue, and In My Father’s Den. Other authors will be announced soon, with expressions of interest from potential authors welcomed, and priority given to NZSA members.
