Kim Hill: international radio personality of the year

Many congratulations to Kim Hill and her colleagues at Radio New Zealand.

The long-serving Radio New Zealand broadcaster has been named international radio personality of the year at the Association for International Broadcasting awards.

From the RNZ release:

Kim Hill is the 2012 International Radio Personality of the Year. The announcement was made at a glittering award ceremony in London attended by senior executives, producers and journalists from radio and television organisations around the world.
The Association for International Broadcasting (AIB) announced the winners of its annual global media excellence awards at a gala event in London this morning (NZ time).
Judges described Kim Hill as: “an experienced and warm broadcaster exercising full control of her content whilst coaxing her guests to reveal more of themselves; really enjoyable live and sparky content that demonstrates what is great about radio and illustrates how important lightness of touch is in speech content.
