The new trailer for Chris McQuarrie's Jack Reacher adds a bit to the action and menacing ambiguous voice-over of the first trailer. We now know more about the plot: Tom Cruise wants to save a blonde lawyer because of his desire to murder her captors. (You've got to nip that Stockholm syndrome in the bud.) Also, we get our first glimpse at Werner Herzog (yes, that Werner Herzog ... like there could be another!) as the villain, and apparently, the man doesn't need albino crocodiles to be frightening. The film hits theaters on December 21, suggesting that Herzog would make a perfect Santa Claus and Cruise a perfect, albeit punchy, elf.
