More about Bill Noble's retirement party

Paul Greenberg reports:

It was a great show and Bill could not have received a warmer, more appreciative ‘send off’ with accolades and acclaims from John Scandritt (on behalf of the University Bookshop Otago Board), Antony Hamel (lawyer, self-publisher and past Board member), Gillian Newman (past employee and now book buyer for UBS Canterbury), venerable book industry identities David Elworthy and Bob Ross (who both read tributes to Bill from absent industry stalwarts Brian Phillips and Philip King), South Island bookshop personality Jeff Grigor and Annette Campbell who read a delightful email from Bill and her daughter, Sarah, along with the very special presentation by Anne Clark to Bill on behalf of existing staff.
Anne is the only remaining staff member from when Bill took up his appointment.
I also paid tribute to Bill on The Bookman's behalf…
