NIGELLISSIMA - Instant Italian Inspiration from Nigella

An innovative multi-platform marketing campaign is planned for the publication of
Nigella Lawson’s latest cookbook, NIGELLISSIMA: Instant Italian Inspiration, on sale in New Zealand from tomorrow 14 September.

To ensure maximum presence for NIGELLISSIMA in the digital space, a specially-commissioned promotional App for iPad and iPhone will go live at publication.
The App contains a delicious taster of the new book, a specially-commissioned animated front cover, and a unique interactive interview with Nigella. It also features exclusive behind-the-scenes content from the making of the book and 360° photography of Nigella’s Italian Inspirations.
For the first time, it also brings together Nigella’s twitter, blog and Facebook in a state of the art parallax viewing system so that Nigella fans can immerse themselves in the world of NIGELLISSIMA.

A BBC TV series, of the same name as the new cookbook, also airs in the UK to coincide with the launch of the cookbook and the six-part series is sure to make its way to screens Down Under at some point. Reading the luscious book makes me hope we don’t have to wait too long. The first dish I am going to make is her Italian Roast Chicken with Peppers & Olives. I will report back.

NIGELLISSIMA is apparently something of a sentimental journey for Nigella. She lived and worked in Italy as a chambermaid in Florence when young, and read Italian at Oxford, before becoming a journalist and food writer.

Lavishly produced,(an understatement), with a specially commissioned cover image by Royal photographer, Hugo Burnand, Nigella’s latest cookbook offering includes 120 mouth-watering dishes, all of them true to the spirit of Italian cooking but with her own distinctive twist.
In keeping with Italian culinary attitudes both old and new, Nigella’s recipes are quick, easy and designed to get the maximum out of every ingredient, elevating everyday eating into no-fuss feasts. From the traditional to the unfamiliar, here are recipes to excite the taste buds and the imagination, without stressing the cook.
