The Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy has been knocked from the top of the Amazon Kindle store by an e-book priced at 20p.

Alice Peterson’s Monday to Friday Man (Quercus) has claimed the top spot in the list pushing E L James’ erotic titles down the chart. Fifty Shades of Grey (Arrow), being sold for the Kindle at £3.09, has slipped to fifth place, with sequel Fifty Shades Darker at number four, and Fifty Shades Freed clinging to the number two slot after 147 days in the chart.
Monday to Friday Man, which was originally published in 2011, is being offered at 20p as part of a price-matching campaign, with the Sony Reader Store offering a range of titles at that price.
Books from bestselling authors David Baldacci and Peter James are also in the Kindle paid-for top ten at a price of 20p.
Attica Locke’s mystery novel Black Water Rising (Serpent’s Tail) has risen to top three slot after being offered at 99p for a limited offer.
Despite it slipping down the Kindle chart, the Fifty Shades trilogy remains high on the agenda, with a documentary on the phenomenon airing on Channel 4 next week.
