NEW ARTWORK: Poster for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

Two days after wrapping up the filming of The Hobbit movies Sir Peter Jackson has released an exclusive poster.
The director published the artwork, featuring Ian McKellen as the wizard Gandalf with the rolling hills of Waikato as backdrop, today on his Facebook page.

Kiwi fans of J. R. R. Tolkien's saga won't get their hands on the sought-after poster for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey easily. The artwork will exclusively be handed out at San Diego's Comic Con this week.
“Hi everyone. Here's an exclusive Comic Con poster. Be sure to get your copy in San Diego and let me know what you think of it! Cheers, Peter J," he wrote.
Within hours more than 45,000 Hobbit fans 'liked' Jacksons' post.
Last night the Hobbits, elves and dwarfs partied with set designers, lightning crew and the special effect team the end of filming. After 266 days of shooting The Hobbit was completed on Friday and a party for cew was held at the TSB Bank Arena in Wellington.
Shooting for both films was done simultaneously, but after the first movie premieres in November in Wellington, further work is expected to continue on the sequel next year.
Last month, McKellen said he would likely return next year for a small amount of additional shooting for The Hobbit: There and Back Again.
Details of The Hobbit premiere were as tightly under wraps as the film.
The Wellington City Council last month set aside $1.15 million of ratepayers' money to help fund the November 28 world premiere of the film in the capital.
It is widely expected to be held at Courtenay Place's Embassy Theatre, which hosted the Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King premiere in 2003 but a spokeswoman for Event Cinemas, which runs the Embassy, said this had not been confirmed. Wingnut films said Warners would organise it.
Jackson is now expected to turn his attention to the second Tintin film, Prisoners of the Sun
