{Suite} is pleased to announce the opening of its Westra Gallery.  
Dedicated to Icon Ans Westra (CNZM) this is the first exhibition space to be devoted to an Arts Foundation Icon Artist - a status that acknowledges the significance and legacy of Ans Westra’s work.

The first exhibition features prints of images made for Maori (1967).  Whaiora (1986) and the updated edition of Washday at the Pa (2011), will be available for purchase alongside the exhibition prints.  

A limited edition digital print of the cover image from Washday at the Pa will be released following the opening of the Westra Gallery to celebrate this artist’s unique contribution to New Zealand.

{Suite} Westra Gallery, 108 Oriental Parade, Wellington, Open to the public from 21 March 2012.  The Gallery will be open from 11am-5pm, Tuesday – Saturday.


A page on the UK Poetry Archive's website has now become ‘live’ for Icon Janet Frame.  The page includes five archived recordings. One, Flowering Cherry was recorded in 1974, and the rest were recorded not long before Janet's death in 2004.
