Bucking world economic trends, Corballis’s " Pieces of Mind" sells to Greece

Don’t believe everything you read about the state of the Greek economy. We’re delighted psychology professor emeritus Michael Corballis’s Pieces of Mind: 21 Short Walks Around the Human Brain is bucking the trend with the sale of world rights to a Greek-language edition being completed via Scribe Australia. Athens-based Aiora Press will hold the rights to this acclaimed introduction to the workings of the human brain for five years.
“It’s all Greek anyway, so translation should be easy.” the author joked when we told him the good news.
The sale is the result of another successful lead scouted by our director Sam Elworthy out of last year’s Frankfurt Book Fair Rights Catalogue.
“All those sausages ingested at the Frankfurt Book Fair may be paying off,” he says.
The international rights to Pieces of Mind have been sold to Scribe (Australia); UK and Irish rights to Selina Tusitala Marsh’s awardwinning Fast Talking PI were snapped up by ARC; and Veronika Meduna’s forthcoming Science on Ice: Discovering the Secrets of Antarctica has been sold to CSIRO (Australia) and Yale University Press.
