Pan Mac launches e-book bundles

Pan Macmillan has launched its first e-book bundles, collections of two or three titles in a single e-book, and published a second collection of e-book Short Reads for the upcoming digital Christmas.
The e-book bundles include titles from Ken Follett, Jon Ronson, Sue Grafton and Andrew Marr, and are priced between £13.99 and £15.99. Marr's A History of Modern Britain and The Making of Modern Britain are bundled together; with Ronson's Them: Adventures with Extremists, Men Who Stare at Goats, and The Psychopath Test making another bundle. "Ken Follett's Thundering Good Thrillers" will be made up of Eye of the Needle, Hornet Flight and Jackdaws; with A is for Alibi, B is for Burglar and C is for Corpse making up the bundle of books by Grafton. Three of Alyson Noel's Immortals novels and a trio of Montalbano Mysteries by Andrea Camilleri will complete the set of bundles.
The second series of Short Reads, each priced 99p, will comprise three new titles: Christmas is for the Kids by Peter James; Three and a Half Deaths by Emma Donoghue; and Bedlam by Andrew Lane. Also going on sale will be Minette Walters' Chickenfeed; Neal Asher's Snow in the Desert; and Water from the Sun and Discovering Japan by Bret Easton Ellis.
Pan Macmillan's digital editorial director James Long said the bundles were aimed at "dedicated e-book readers", while the Short Reads were targeted instead at "readers new to e-books". He said: "We're delighted with our line-up of digital-first products for the big Christmas e-book rush—they look great and offer something exciting and good value to everyone who is looking for something to read on their new device."
