The winner was announced by Craig Sisterson at an Christchurch Writers Festival event in Christchurch this afternoon.
Before the announcement the four finalists - Paddy Richardson, Neil Cross, Alix Bosco and Paul Cleave were interviewed in a panel discussion by Craig Sisterson and prior to that I had the pleasure of interviewing visiting US crime fiction authors Tess Gerritsen

For goodness sake Graham, what most of us were interested in was who Alix Bosco is. We now know, courtesy of Radio NZ. (Greg McGee, who had earlier denied this.A story there?). I know you are preoccupied with more important things and this is pretty trivial, but could'nt you at least have put us out of our misery? No criticism attracts itself to you but I, for one, have been waiting forever. An oversight?
