Rowling loses bid to have Willy the Wizard case dismissed

JK Rowling has lost her bid to dismiss a lawsuit over claims Harry Potter was based on an earlier book about Willy the Wizard.

Bloomberg reports Justice David Kitchen in the High Court in London said it was "improbable" the case would ultimately succeed. He also said he would issue an order forcing the estate of Willy the Wizard author Adrian Jacobs to meet certain conditions if the case is to continue.
Schillings, the law firm representing Rowling, said it welcomed the ruling. Rowling has previously said Jacob's estate's claims are "not only unfounded, but absurd".
Jacob's estate claims Rowling's agent Christopher Little was given a copy of Willy the Wizard, which he later passed on to Rowling.
Kitchin said: "It is inherently improbable that Mr. Little would have thought it worth giving a copy to Ms. Rowling some eight years later."
