Bougainville Library book donations - a plea

Dear booksellers, publishers and book-lovers,

You may already know that Lloyd Jones, the author of Mr Pip, has set up the Bougainville Library Trust. His vision is to build a library in Bougainville that will act as a meeting place and education centre. Lloyd has donated $30,000 from his back pocket to kick off the project.

To learn more about where the Trust is up to check out this site http://www.bougainvillelibrary.org.nz/ and http://tinyurl.com/27jp8o4

This is a plea for donations of books (in reasonable nick) for a book fair to raise more funds. It's in three weeks, so time is critical.

If you can help us by sending books to my office in Wilton (street address below) we'll be truly grateful. Some of your donations will be selected for the library itself and the others will sold at a book fair to be held at Shed 11, Wellington, 6/7 November. We can pick up donations in the greater Wellington area, if necessary.

All best in books and hopeful anticipation!

Louise Wrightson.
