Events at Takapuna Library and North Shore Libraries Foundation Event

1. Words Chosen Carefully

Cape Catley and The Friends fo Takapuna Library invite you to join Graham Beattie
To celebrate the launch of

Words Chosen Carefully -
New Zealand Writers in Discussion

An essential guide to our literary treasures.

Fifteen outstanding NZ writers talk openly and freely with fifteen excellent interviewers on how and why they write and how they draw on their own lives to transform what they see, hear and sense. The discussions in Words Chosen Carefully examine the place of land, culture, belonging, society, family and art in their work. There are insights on the routines that help them create and how characters are developed.

With an introduction by its editor, Siobhan Harvey,(pic right), and photographs by Liz March, Words Chosen Carefully is the first book of its kind published in New Zealand in nearly two decades.
