PRIVATE
James Patterson with Maxine Paetro
Century - $38.99

I have never really understood how two people can work together to write a work of fiction. Non-fiction certainly, but novels? Beats me!
But James Patterson (famous of course for his Alex Cross stories, 14 or more published and another coming lkater this year), has a long history of co-authoring with Maxine Paetro (especially The Women's Murder Club series). and they do it very well.

PRIVATE is a stand-alone thriller/crime yarn and it is another winner from this combination. This is pure escapism and  perfect for a long plane flight or a weekend where the weather keeps you inside. I read it last weekend in front of the fire

The story goes like this - Former US Marine Jack Morgan runs Private, a renowned investigation company. The company has the world's most advanced forensic tools and they are often called in by the LAPD to assist with difficult cases; this one involves a close friend of Jack's and it requires all his resources and cunning to solve. Action-packed of course, Patterson's stories always are.
