BIG CROWD DRAWN TO UNITY TO MEET AUTHOR/DIRECTOR

On a very wintery night Unity Books, Wellington had at least a couple of hundred well-behaved fans in the shop to meet the author/director Guillermo Del Toro.

He was promoting the first novel from his vampire trilogy 'The Strain' (9780007311286 $37 Harper Collins) co-written with Chuck Hogan.
My spies tell me he was very good humuored about all the bizarre questions and job-seeking that went on, taking time to draw in a lot of the books and chat with a lot of his patient readers. He was often asked about the status of part two in the trilogy but only commented that it was enjoying working on it a lot.
