BOOK COMMANDS $250,000 - Story from New Zealand Herald today

Award winning NZ author Bernard Beckett has sold his latest novel, GENESIS, for $250,000 his Australian publisher said yesterday. The novel won the 2007 Ester Glen Award and the young adult category of the NZ Post Book Awards. Michael Hayward, publisher at Text Publishing, said GENESIS was a "terrifying thriller" which had "huge potential to cross over into an adult readership".
