Classic Canterbury history to be reprinted.

Christchurch booksellers Philip King and Brian Phillips have joined forces to reprint Gordon Ogilvie’s classic work of Canterbury History, Banks Peninsula: Cradle of Canterbury.

This book, first published in 1990, has been out of print for nearly 15 years and this reprint comes in response to considerable demand from those interested in the early history of Canterbury (and the Peninsula). The book was awarded a JM Sherrard award for the writing of regional history. Author Gordon Ogilvie is one of Canterbury’s most distinguished historians with numerous successful books to his credit.
