ANNE O'BRIEN MOVING NORTH

Well-known culture vulture, presently Writers & Readers Manager for the NZ Arts Festival, and longtime Wellingtonian, Anne O'Brien surprised many this past week with news that she is shortly moving north to take up the position of Executive Director of Women in Film & Television (Auckland).

Anne says it is time for a new challenge and that "the good thing is that the New Zealand International Arts Festival's international writer guest list for 2008 is now in place - bigger and better than ever, the programme promises to deliver another outstanding New Zealand Post Writers and Readers Week experience with an exceptional line-up of prize-winning writers from around the world and across genres."
Wellington's loss is indeed Auckland's gain. Welcome to Auckland Anne.
